Israeli Occupation Authorities Issue tens of Administrative Detention Orders against Palestinians last month.

The Palestinian Prisoners Affairs Commission affirmed that Israeli occupation authorities issued 154 administrative detention orders against Palestinians during the last month.

The commission said that the administrative detention orders range in time between three and six months, including 68 new administrative detention orders and 86 renewal of preorders.

The commission added that administrative detention is a cruel policy used by the Israeli occupation authorities against the Palestinians, trying to bring false indictments against them to restrict them.

It pointed out that the Palestinian administrative prisoner in the Israeli occupation prisons, Khalil Awawdeh, 40 years old, has been on respectively hunger strike for 68 days, refusing his administrative detention, despite suffering from headaches, pain in the joints, irregular heartbeats, vomiting blood, and loss of weight and difficulty in breathing.

In addition, the commission reported that the administrative prisoner, Raed Rayan, 28, is also on a respective hunger strike for the 33rd day, demanding his freedom. He also is reported to have health issues.

At the same time, the other administrative prisoners continue their boycott of the Israeli occupation courts for 130 days.

Israel’s policy of administrative detention allows the detention of Palestinians without any trial for renewable intervals based on unknown proof that even a detainee’s lawyer is banned from viewing it.
