Arab League has denied Israeli occupation efforts changing and violating the historical and legal status quo of the Palestinian city of Jerusalem.
Arab League Secretary-General, Ahmed Aboul-Gheit, strongly denied any efforts to alter the status quo at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Aboul-Gheit said that any alleged Israeli sovereignty on Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites adapt a contravention of the international law and a contravention of United Nations resolutions.
He stressed that the position of the Arab League in advocating Palestinian rights and supporting the rooted of the Palestinians, their leadership, and institutions, in defending Jerusalem as the eternal capital of Palestine.
