Morning and Evening Remembrance

All of us believe in the existence of Allah and believe that Allah created us from nothing. In addition to that, the true believer is the one who complies with Allah’s commands and keeps away from the prohibitions. So that, Allah makes some remembrance to be connected with Allah all the times of the day. Morning and evening remembrances are received first from the messenger of Allah. It is said at particular times of the day. These remembrances also have a magnificent effect on the believer of Allah. Muslims remember these remembrances all the time. They don’t remember them in the need times only. 

The meaning of remembrance:

Remembrance means the mention of Allah all the time. Remembrance also aims at glorifying the creator. the remembrance of Allah in the morning, evening, and the length of time is mentioned in the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet. Allah’s Unity is considered the greatest prayer at all. There are many matters that encourage Muslims to read remembrance. Let’s mention the benefits of the morning and evening remembrance.

The Benefits of morning and evening remembrance: 

• It preserves the believer from Satan and his obsessions. According to Ibn al-Qayyim when he said: ” Morning and evening remembrances are considered like the shield which protects the one who remembers them. the more thickness this shield has become; the more protection will be”. In Surah Al-Ahzab when Allah said:” the men who remember Allah often and the women who do so – for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward”.

• They also remove the effects of sadness and help in the disappearance of worry scars.

• When the Muslim makes himself say these remembrances in particular times of the day, this makes the one remember Allah all the day. This helps to avoid committing Sins of retreats. So that, the Muslim will be relaxed and feel peace of mind.

• Remembrances also help to save the Muslims from the evil of mankind and the jinn, not that only but it also saves accommodation. 

There are some matters help to say the remembrance correctly and in a lovely way. 

How to read the Morning and evening remembrance?

Remembrances are read in a particular time which includes the presence of Consciousness and the heart of the believer. the Muslims may read them in the living house or at work. I mean to be read in any place and don’t require a special place. Morning and evening remembrance can be read with ablution or without it. It is a sense of politeness to be read with a low voice. That’s to avoid causing Annoy to people existing in the place.

The rules of reading remembrances: 

The morning and evening remembrances are Sunnah from the Prophet Muhammad, and it is a recommended Sunnah, not obligatory. If the Muslim has forgotten to read them, he can read them at any time when he remembers. It is best to read it at the appointed times for that.

The suitable time for morning and evening remembrance:

Morning remembrances are read from the dawn to sunset and the evening remembrance are read after sunset to midnight. Also, there are enormous numbers of books which will help to remember them.

Recommended books for remembrance: 

There are many recommended books for remembrance. All of them have many classes and to get into the right class, you can open the class about what to be said in morning and evening. 

Some of them are:

• The Book of Remembrances of Imam Al-Nawawi.
• Fortress of the Muslim book by Saeed bin Wahf Al-Qahtani.
• Book of Remembrance and Etiquette of Morning and Evening by Muhammad Al-Muqaddam.
• Remembrances of the morning and evening, a novel and knowledge of Abdul Aziz Al-Tarifi.

There are some of the mentioned remembrance:

Morning remembrances: 

• “O Allah, by your leave we have reached the morning and by Your leave we have reached the evening, and by Your leave we live and by Your leave we die and unto You is our resurrection.
• “I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the Evil of what He has created”.

• “O Allah, Knower of the unseen and the seen, Creator of the Heavens and the Earth, Lord and sovereign of all things, I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except You. I seek in You from the evil of myself and from the evil of Shytan and his call to Shirk(Polytheism), and from committing wrong against myself or bringing such upon another Muslim.
• “None has the right to be worshipped except Allah; He is One and has no partner. All the kingdom is for Him, and all the praises are for Hi, and He is Omnipotent”.

Evening remembrances:

• ‘O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in this life and the next. Oh Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religious and worldly affairs, and my family and my wealth. O Allah, veil my weaknesses and set at ease my dismay. O Allah, preserve me from the front and from behind and on my right and on my left and from above, and I take refuge with You lest I be swallowed up by the earth.’

• ‘O Allah, Knower of the unseen and the seen, Creator of the heavens and the Earth, Lord and Sovereign of all things, I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except You. I take refuge in You from the evil of my soul and from the evil and shirk of the devil, and from committing wrong against my soul or bringing such upon another Muslim.’

So that we are asked to remember Allah at different times of the day. As mentioned before this remembrance protects the Muslims from anything bad that catches them. The true believer must remember the prayers all day.
