The day of Arafat, is one of the greatest days, as it is the day of repentance of the worshipers to Allah, Almighty, and it is also the day of obedience and worship that brings them closer to Him.

Therefore, it is desirable for every Muslim to well-worship Allah in it, and to make use of it and protect the soul from hatred.

The reason for naming the day of Arafat by this name

There are many sayings in this statement. It was that Ibrahim-peace be upon him – knew on that day that his vision was right. As he had seen in his sleep that he slaughtered his son Ismael, and he did not know whether this vision was from God or not, then he learned that it was from God the next night.

It was said also that it was named by Arafat, as the worshipers confess in it their sins.

Al-Nasafi said that it was named the day of Arafat because Adam and Eve met on that day at Mount Arafat, since they had parted after they left the Paradise.

It is also said that it is named as the day of Arafat; because the worshipers rise on the mountain, as the Arabs called What above the Earth Arafat

When is Arafat day?

The day of Arafat is the 9th day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, which it is the 12th month of the Hijri year. That is the last month of it, and comes after the month of Dhu al-Qa’da, in which the rituals of the hajj are performed.
