The presence of parents in human life in general and in the life of the child, in particular, is a great blessing; In their presence warmth, emotional care, upbringing, and love. the journey of parents with their children is a journey of giving without limits.
If the parents’ care towards their children is very important, then Allah may deprive some of that care and raise an orphan, but the care of Allah – undoubtedly – is better than the care of humans. As mentioned in many verses in the Holy Quran, many messengers were born orphans like Moses and Muhammad (PBUH).
How was the Prophet Muhammad’s childhood?
Muhammad (PBUH) grew up as an orphan. He was deprived of his father when he was a fetus. He lived in his father’s house with his mother.
Muhammad PBUH in his natural childhood grew up “in the desert”, as it is a custom in the tribes, where he lived with Halima Saadia of the Bani Saad tribe, where the desert and pasture. And he would go out with his brother “in infancy”, to graze with his sheep.
Characteristics of the prophet’s childhood
In the upbringing of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), there is an important characteristic taken into account which is raising in a healthy environment, far from epidemics and diseases, therefore, obtaining good health.
The prophet was born and raised in an environment of Fluent in its native language. Bringing up children in a Linguistic environment has a great impact on the children, as language is a means of communicating with others, and it is a means of expressing needs as well. when we raise our children in an upscale linguistic environment, they do not get what our children today are affected by emotions and bad manners.
How did living in a desert affect Prophet Muhammad?
The more children grew up in a desert or an agricultural environment, the better they grew up than in an industrial environment. Looking at the sky comforts the soul, and acquiring thinking and creativity skills. Thus, Muhammad (PBUH) is the son of the desert environment. For this reason, there is a story about one of the directors, he was filming a film in the desert of Algeria. When he finished filming, he wandered around the desert of Algeria. He said: now I know why most of the Prophets were coming out of the desert. It’s nurturing instinct and purity.
Although the Prophet (PBUH) was an orphan “born without his father”. His grandfather took the responsibility of raising the prophet. It is known that raising by the grandfather is better than the father’s raising. The prophet Muhammad PBUH was always closer to his grandfather Abdul Muttalib in his councils. And he had a special place in his grandfather’s heart, perhaps his grandfather was not loving his uncle the way he did to him; in order to compensate him for the loss of his father, especially since his father was the youngest of his grandfather’s sons, it is a sad feeling, to lose the son and remain the grandson.
Signs of prophecy
Abdul Muttalib was seeing in the face of his grandson signs of prophecy. he aspires to see his grandson a master in his people. The relationship between the grandson and his grandfather intimate relationship, how not, Abdul Muttalib named him “Muhammad”, a name that was not famous among the Arabs.
History repeats itself, and the good families are characterized by the same characteristics despite the divergence of times or beliefs. As you can see, Abdul Muttalib hopes that his grandson will be a significant figure in religious leadership.
Times of sorrow for the prophet PBUH
he loses his father, who did not see him, then he loses his mother when he is six years old, and then he loses his grandfather while he is still a young boy, yet his grandfather has chosen his uncle to take care of Muhammad PBUH after him.
He grew up in the house of his uncle, and learned from his early youth trade and learnt a lot of life, his uncle Abu Talib was eager to grow up his nephew as a man, he accompanied him in trad
Thus, Abu Talib provided his young nephew with a great service of education and care at a difficult age, and taught him the ways of life and trade, which makes him eligible to make his way in life independently.
The moral
The Prophet, peace be upon him, in his childhood and youth as a role model. he was a role model in diligence. He gives the youth a moral that no matter how they grew up poor or in difficult circumstances, They can achieve what they aspire. Maybe the difficult circumstances you suffer is a push to achieve what you want. And In our prophet, peace be upon him, the perfect role of model.
