Palestinians leaving their home after massacres of the Zionist gangs in Palestine in 1948

The continuing refugee crisis in Palestine: from Nakba of 1948 to Gaza  to sheikh jarrah in 2022

According to the data of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Palestinians remain one of the largest and longest-suffering groups of displaced people, and they are the second-largest refugee population worldwide.

The Palestinian refugee crisis began with the declaration of the establishment of the State of Israel on the occupied Palestinian territories in 1948.  The creation of Isreal in 1948 was a violent process that involved forcing hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from their homes.0

By the first half of 1949, at least 750,000 Palestinians were forcibly expelled from their homes.  Palestinians call this mass eviction the Nakba (catastrophe).
most Palestinian refugees lived in refugee camps across Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, the west bank, and Gaza strip, refugees lived in 59 registered camps ten of which were established after the 6 days war in 1967, as a result of Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, another wave of displacement occurred.  The Israeli army expelled 460,000 Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza Strip, according to Arab League data, and about 230,000 of them were refugees in 1948, who lived in refugee camps in the West Bank and Gaza.

Unfortunately, the loss of the Palestinian homeland and the theft of their property continues in 2022, while the world stands by and does nothing.  Here we review some details for those who are not familiar with the current displacement issue.

The sheikh jarrah neighbourhood

Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood is considered one of the most important residential areas in occupied Jerusalem it’s located north of the old city of Jerusalem.  It was built in 1956 under an agreement signed between UNRWA and the Jordanian government (the West Bank was under the control of the Jordanian state at the time).  After the Nakba of 1948, 28 displaced families settled in Sheikh Jarrah in 1956, hoping that they would never be forced to leave their homes again and face the same fate they faced in 1950  Nevertheless, the Israeli courts approved the decision to evict several families from the neighbourhood as a new kind of Nakba on a daily basis.

Now, more than 3,000 Palestinians are in danger of being displaced from their lands again.

Israeli settlers started taking over sheikh jarrah’s homes.  This violation did not stop yet.  In May 2021, the Israeli District Court in East Jerusalem approved a decision to evict six Palestinian families from their homes in the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood, in favour of Israeli settlers.  Consequently, the Palestinians are displaced over and over again.  The Palestinians are already aware that this continued “legal” violation will force them all to leave their homes and move elsewhere.

Negev desert

The Negev desert occupies 40% of the area of historical Palestine. In the Negev desert, there are 7 recognized Arab communities. The Negev desert lacks the infrastructure of health, roads, education, electricity and water.

As part of the attempts to survey the Palestinian presence in the Negev, the authorities of the Israeli government granted the Bedouins in the Negev Israeli citizenship but did not recognize their ownership over the 13 million dunams owned by the Negev residents.  Stealing their lands and erasing their identity.

The Negev is subjected to continuous attempts of displacement. With the establishment of the State of Israel and the Palestinian Nakba in 1948, the occupation forced nearly 100,000 Bedouins to leave the Negev region, and most of them turned into refugees in Jordan, the besieged Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank areas, especially the areas of Hebron, the Jordan Valley and Jerusalem.

In 1976, Ariel Sharon, who later became Prime Minister of Israel, established a special governmental unit “Green Patrols” whose goal was to make life difficult for Bedouins in the Negev and was part of the Ministry of Agriculture and was formed to guard “state lands, protect them from the Bedouins, and control them.”

This special unit came to fight the Palestinian Bedouins in the Negev. These “green patrols” confiscated the Bedouins’ livestock, demolished their tents, and imposed fines on them under the pretext of grazing in a “closed military zone”.

The impossibility to obtain building permits in Jerusalem

Unfortunately, Israel did not stop stealing Palestinian property, but it began to make it difficult for Palestinians to live in Jerusalem, to force them to leave.

A large number of Palestinians tend to build homes, shops and other facilities on their lands in East Jerusalem without obtaining a building permit from the Israeli municipality, Then the municipality gives the Palestinians two options either they demolish their own house themselves, or the municipality demolishes their homes at the expense of the Palestinian.

According to the Jerusalem municipality, 44 homes were demolished in East Jerusalem by the first half of the year, including homes demolished by their owners.  While the figures of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the occupied Palestinian territory indicate the demolition of 81 facilities in the east of the city in the same period, 44 of which were demolished by their owners.

The Palestinians say that the demolition policy aims to force them to leave the city of Jerusalem.

Airstrikes and destroying houses in Gaza

In Gaza strip, the situation is different Israel is targeting Gaza strip with bombardment Gaza is not only one of the most densely populated areas in the world, but is already under the weight of a humanitarian catastrophe, one of the causes of which is the siege imposed by Israel for 14 years on two million Palestinians, Gaza who live in extreme poverty, While Israel bombs residential facilities, schools and hospitals in Gaza, which kills civilians, including children, women and defenceless elderly.

The methods of displacing the Palestinians from their land vary, but the goal is the same, which is to increase the number of Israeli settlers on Palestinian lands.

In Palestine, no peace before the slate is clean

Published

on

It seems that peace in Palestine will remain confined to the realm of wishful thinking. For the vast majority of people around the world, the racist apartheid entity known as Israel is probably the most gargantuan crime against humanity ever committed in the history of mankind.

Israel was conceived in sin, misbegotten in evil when it was established nearly 75 years ago, remains completely evil today, and will always be irremediably evil, no matter how many people sing its praises.

The creation of Israel in Palestine may not be the most heinous genocidal act in history. But it is most certainly the biggest and most obscene theft ever. How else can any honest person describe the arrogation of an entire country by the British empire and surrendering it, as a (National home),  on a silver platter to another people ( Zionist Jews) on the ground that these people were stateless and persecuted, especially following the tragic events of the World War II.

Indelible calamity for Palestinians

Indeed, the very creation of Israel and its malignant growth into a powerful evil entity has inflicted a huge indelible calamity to every Palestinian family.

Yes, thanks to Zionism’s triumph, thanks to overwhelming, unlimited and sustained backing by racist, anti-Islam Western powers such as UK and US, every Palestinian family had its share of the still ongoing agony,  immense suffering and misery resulting from the establishment of the evil entity, which is nothing less than a protracted, unrelenting and unceasing crime against humanity.

It is probably impossible to find a single Palestinian who has escaped the impact of the Zionist Jewish crimes, still, continues unabated.

Israel: When will the Jews say Mea Culpa?

This writer’s family, for example, was forced to dwell in a cave for 20 years, following the near extermination of my father’s family in 1953. In that fateful year, Jewish terrorists massacred his three paternal uncles, Hussein, Mahmoud and Yousef not far from the village of, al-Burj, about 30 km southwest of the town of Hebron.

The three, along with other relatives, were totally innocent shepherds, grazing their folks of sheep near the armistice line.  In addition to murdering my family, the Zionist murderers stole hundreds of sheep upon which our family depended on for living.

Interestingly, up to this day, Israel, the so-called only democracy in the  Middle East, has not said “Mea Culpa“! let alone paid compensations for their crimes When will the Zionist Jews say a simple sorry for their unwept victims? Perhaps when kosher pigs fly!

Yes, every single Palestinian has a story to tell about what happened to his or her immediate family, relatives, neighbours and fellow villagers.

The Zionists, notoriously selfish and narcissistic, calculated that old Palestinians who experienced the holocaust-like Nakba first-hand ( the brutal, violent extirpation of an entire people from its ancestral homeland does constitute a form of genocide),  would die and the young would forget.

However, the Zionist calculations proved utterly faulty as the cause has been kept alive and living, strongly and firmly, in the hearts and minds of millions of people around the world, including in Palestine itself where close to eight million Palestinians continue to live as a thorn in the  Zionists’ side despite all their nefarious designs, plots and exploits to consign our just cause to oblivion.

There are several reasons for this exemplary resilience and steadfastness on the part of the Palestinian people, including the following:

1-The colossal Nakba, was by no means a one-time event lasting for a  few weeks or a few months, followed by peace or an end of hostility. The Palestinians actually never encountered circumstances or conditions conducive to making them or their descendants forget or overcome their pains. Indeed, ever since 1948, the collective Palestinian experience has been a sequence of atrocities, pogroms, repressive measures, mass internment and imprisonment, home -demolitions, land-grabbing, sporadic massacres,  and similar acts of persecution and oppression. This would draw a conclusion that peace in Palestine belongs to the realm of fantasy.

The main purpose of these evil measures has always been to force the Palestinians, or significant numbers of them, to leave their homeland for good. Indeed, in many instances, the Zionist authorities offered attractive sums of money to “encourage” Palestinians to emigrate to countries such as Australia and Canada. However, very few Palestinians would swallow the Zionist bait.

The unrelenting suffering and the protracted oppression and savagery kept alight the torch of resistance even to this day as most Palestinians came to realize that they were facing two main alternatives: continued resistance even at a high price, or going into oblivion and repeating the experiment of the  “American Indians” of the Middle East.

2-The second reason which enabled the Palestinians to keep their struggle alive is their strong Islamic faith. Islam encourages its followers to resist oppression and not succumb or give in to oppressors. True, Palestinian nationalism played and continues to play an important role in sustaining the resistance. However, it is amply clear that Islam is more able to provide an inexhaustible source of motivations for the increasingly religious showdown with Israel. More to the point, Palestinians feel they have a paramount religious duty to protect, defend, and liberate al-Aqsa Mosque from the claws of Zionism. Indeed, most Palestinians realize there can be no Palestine without Jerusalem and no Jerusalem without the Aqsa Mosque. Hence, their resolve to sacrifice body and soul for the liberation of  Islam’s third holiest sanctuary.

No Peace without Justice, but Justice is more than impossible

Since there can be no lasting peace in Palestine without true justice that leaves the slate thoroughly clean, it would be safe to argue that reaching a genuine peace between Muslims and Zionist Jews would be as unlikely as Satan the devil entering the Garden of Eden in the company of prophets, saints, martyrs and righteous people on the Day of Judgment.

But since Satan will go to hell rather than paradise, peace in Palestine will remain confined to the realm of wishful thinking.

And even if Zionist Jews were to reach the conclusion that enough was enough, they still would have to agree to a system of redress for the egregious injustices inflicted on their victims from the very inception of the gargantuan crime against humanity.

For justice, even a semblance of justice to materialize, the Jews of the world would have to pay the Palestinians adequate and prompt reparations for the purpose of promoting justice and redressing the horrible and still ongoing crimes against the victims and their descendants up to the 10th generation. I cannot determine the exact amount of reparations and indemnification which Jews would have to pay for the victims. But an initial amount of 30-50 trillion dollars would probably suffice for a final rapprochement. Am I undergoing day-dreaming. Definitely. That is why even invoking the possibility of a real durable peace between Palestine and Israel belongs to the realm of fantasy and wishful thinking. (end)

Expect a Srebrenica-like massacre anytime by Jewish Settlers in the West Bank

Jewish Settlers in the West Bank

Encouraged by the Israeli government’s acquiescence, millenarian Jewish settlers in the West Bank seem to miss no chance to emulate “Hitler youth,” the para-military Nazi gangs that murdered, and terrorized Jews prior and during the Second World War.

“Hitler Youth” carried out some of the most outrageous acts of mass terror against Jews throughout Germany and Austria prior to the outbreak of the World War II.

During their rampages, they murdered people, vandalized property and torched businesses. They took an active part in Kristallnacht’s “Night of Broken Glass” on 9-10 November, 1938, burning down numerous synagogues.

According to historical sources, the pretext for the attacks was the assassination of the German diplomat Ernst vom Rath by Herschel Grynszpan, a German-born Polish Jew living in Paris.

Kristallnacht was followed by additional economic and political persecution of Jews, and is viewed by some historians as part of Nazi Germany’s broader racial policy, and the beginning of the holocaust.

Jewish Settlers in the West Bank: Judeo-Nazis

Jewish Settlers in the West Bank
Jewish Settlers are permitted to carry weapons in Israel.

Today, more or less the same scene is being replayed by the Nazi-like Jewish settlers in full collusion and coordination with the Israeli government and security forces in the West Bank.

The settlers play the role of Hitler Youths and other Nazi paramilitary gangs while the Israeli security forces play the role of Gestapo and SS.

I know there are differences between the two cases. However, one must be faithful to one’s rectitude, which compels us to recognize the immense similarities.

In both cases, we are talking about a nefarious racist ideology (Aryan Supremacy -the Master Race) in the German case, and (Jewish supremacy or chosen people) in Israel’s case.

Indeed, when subjecting the two movements to cool examination and analysis, the two terror groups (Jewish settlers and Hitler Youth) look as two sides of the same coin, notwithstanding some secondary differences.

Most of the Jewish settlers now marauding through the West Bank and Jerusalem are graduates or students at Talmudic schools known as Yeshivot. They are thoroughly indoctrinated in the Talmudic ideology which views non-Jews as virtual animals. This means that the life of any goy (non-Jew) has absolutely no sanctity. This is far worse than the Nazi concept of the lower classes or Untermenschen.

The Jewish Settlers’ terror : Never forget

Mohammed Abu Khdeir was kidnapped, beaten, forced to swallow petrol then burned alive by a Jewish Israeli settler in Jerusalem

On 13 July, 2014, Jewish settlers in the West Bank kidnapped and burned alive a Palestinian child, after pumping gasoline into his body. Typically, when hair-raising incidents like this occur, the perpetrators often blame Torah sages and Talmud teachers in their communities for okaying the hideous crime.

I don’t know why these Jewish settlers in the West Bank chose this particular gruesome method to end the innocent child’s life. Did they want to vicariously punish the Nazis, on the ground that all goyem are the same, irrespective whether they are Germans, or Palestinians or Chinese?

What was even more outrageous was the behavior of the Israeli government. The Israeli security officials spread disinformation alleging that Abu Khdeir was murdered by his own family.

Israeli Offilcals: Lying like breathing

Indeed, only when there was no room for denying the obvious did Israeli leaders admit the occurrence of the crime. The reluctant admission was not due to concern about the monstrosity of the crime. It was rather imputed to concerns about the public relation damage that Israel would incur as a result of the crime.

The Jewish settlers’ terror against the Palestinian people in the West Bank occurs with the knowledge, acquiescence and direct or indirect encouragement of the Israeli government. Claiming otherwise would be like committing an act of lewdness with truth.

In fact, it is well known that some Israeli security officers often teach Jewish settlers how to conceal evidence of murder just as the Israeli justice system easily exonerates Jewish murder suspects accused of murdering Palestinians. A few weeks ago, I asked a Jewish lawyer from Haifa to explain the chances of a Palestinian receiving true justice in a Jewish court.

The lawyer, a lady, told me this: “No non-Jew can hope for true justice in a Jewish court, period.”

Jewish settlers and their supporters from within the army and Shin Bet security agency have burnt and vandalized dozens of mosques in the West Bank. However, so far, not a single perpetrator has been apprehended let alone punished. This amounts to a green light that encourages the terrorist settlers to “keep up the good work.”

Jewish Settlers in the West Bank: Expect the worse

Jewish Settlers train their kids how to use weapons .
PHOTOGRAPHY
Israeli Jewish “Settlers” (Occupiers) in Palestine Train Children in Use of Firearms (Guns)

Today, the Israeli government is using these genocidal fanatic Jewish Settlers to murder and terrorize unarmed and unprotected Palestinians for the purpose of driving them away from their homeland in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

The criminal Jewish settlers pray for a miracle to empty the land, the West Bank and Jerusalem, of its indigenous inhabitants, the Palestinians. They invoke the 1948-Nakba, saying “if we did it once, we could do it again.”

This is why these evil people are willing and ready to embark on the unthinkable, including carrying out a Srebrenica-like massacre of Palestinian villagers.

The settlers believe they could do such heinous act with minimal or no impunity. They cite Jewish domination of the American government and Congress as well as the settlers’ domination within the Israeli army.

Yes, they could embark on the unthinkable. Don’t say “we didn’t know.”

Demolition Drives in Kashmir- Is India following the Israeli Model in Kashmir?

Published

on

The J&K government has started a massive demolition drive to reportedly remove encroachments on the state land of Jammu and Kashmir. The district administration of Srinagar launched this massive anti-encroachment campaign across the district on Saturday. As a result, 409 Kanal of State land worth more than Rs 240.58 crore were reclaimed from “powerful land grabbers.”. Meanwhile, Kashmiri intellectuals are alarmed regarding the disturbing pattern which depicts India following the Israeli model in Kashmir.

Kashmiris are historically known to unconditionally show solidarity with Palestinians and continue to do so in the face of the illegal occupation by Israel and its bloody legacy of oppression. Terror-stricken Kashmiris now wonder if theirs will be the fate similar to their brethren in Palestine under the illegal Israeli occupation.

Politicians and people of the public claim that the push also affects poor and common people who have relied on modest landholdings for decades to live or survive. They have expressed deep concerns over the encroachment drive. Manoj Sinha, the J&K LG, promised that only “influential people who exploited their approach to usurp state land” would be targeted instead of underprivileged people.

The Claims of the LG Government

The anti-encroachment operation, according to officials, has begun in all seven of the district’s tehsils, including those of Chanapora, Pantha Chowk, Khanyar, Eidgah, and north and south Srinagar. They asserted that the special anti-encroachment teams set up by the Srinagar district administration and commanded by various tehsildars carried out extensive anti-encroachment drives with the assistance of the Police and other pertinent authorities.

The government officials asserted that the continuing anti-encroachment action that was started to regain State property from the intruders had been made plain by the LG government that it would not have an effect on the poor and general public.

The officials claim that the LG government further declared that only people who had occupied State land forcibly exploiting their positions would face serious punishment because the administration cared about defending the interests of the poor.

Opposition Parties Disapproval

The opposition parties in Jammu and Kashmir, including the former CM Mehbooba Mufti’s People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Omar Abdullah’s National Conference, and the party led by the Indian National Congress have been in constant disapproval of the BJP post the removal of Article 370 in the former state of J & K. The Opposition parties have now sought a white paper on the situation amid widespread rumors that land excavators have been dispatched by the administration to all of Kashmir’s districts for the purpose of conducting massive demolition efforts.

Anxieties have only grown since a report detailing the status of land in Kashmir was allegedly removed from the Divisional Commissioner’s (Kashmir) official website. The opposition claims that the administration is arbitrarily targeting people for political purposes in light of the survey’s strange disappearance from the website, which was apparently conducted by J&K’s Revenue Department in 2001 to advance the implementation of the Roshni Act.

According to the Roshni Act, 20.46 lakh kanal of public land was chosen in 2001 for ownership transfer to private parties in exchange for a premium that was projected to bring in Rs 25,000 crore. According to the J&K government, the funds would be used to develop hydropower projects. Despite the fact that there are numerous cases ongoing before the HC challenged the order, the High Court abolished the act in 2018.

For the GOI It Will Always Be About The Land

In its monthly newsletter, ‘Speak Up’, released on Sunday, February 5, PDP (People’s Democratic Party) said that in the past three years “the only reforms we have received from the Centre are land laws because for GOI (Government of India) it will always be about the land”. The PDP asserted on Sunday that the present anti-encroachment campaign in Jammu and Kashmir is yet another attempt to “seize our land and cause massive changes to our demography,” and that the Centre has “prioritized” evicting innocent Kashmiris from their homes over tackling unemployment and the safety of Kashmiri Pandits.

The party argued that the Centre’s recent move to arm village defense committees in the Jammu neighborhood of Rajouri testifies to their “myopic vision” of the Kashmir issue, which prevents them from seeing beyond the scope of a gun. “What seems like a simple solution may very well end up creating communal tensions by driving a wedge between the local communities that have been living in harmony up until now,” it said. “Such measures will further add to the apprehensions of the people about the government’s intent to alter our demography by dispossessing the locals and incentivizing outside settlers to take their place. It’s no secret that GOI’s Kashmir policy emulates the Israeli model in Palestine,” the PDP said.

Bulldozers Being Fanned Out To Terrorize People

A former chief minister of J&K Omar Abdullah, said on Monday, February 7, that several lists of purported encroachments are making the rounds on social media. He said that one such list demonstrates how several well-known buildings, including the National Conference headquarters, Governor’s House, UN office, and his residence on Gupkar Road in Srinagar, have been built on encroached land. “This list has disappeared and another is in public domain now. The situation has left everyone anguished. The administration has told the court that these lists are fake, so we want to know the basis on which the bulldozers are being fanned out across J&K to terrorize people,” Omar said.

Chairman of Peoples Conference, Sajad Lone, said that the administration was carrying out the eviction drive arbitrarily, “Not a day passes when the houses of poor people are not being demolished. No notices are being served. No legal procedure is being followed. The law of the land can’t be violated like this,” Sajad said addressing a press conference on Monday.

“Ninety-five percent of encroachers in J&K are Muslims while a few others have been thrown into the list to make it look like a fair exercise,” Sajad added.

Painful Resemblance with Palestine

As heart-wrenching pictures and videos of displaced Kashmiri families were circulated around social media platforms, people and Kashmiris across the world started voicing their concerns over Kashmir’s painful resemblance with Palestine.

Following a policy developed by radical right-wing ministers in the nation’s new government, Israeli authorities have increased the demolition of Palestinian homes in portions of East Jerusalem and the West Bank, according to local leaders. Buildings in the Jerusalem neighborhoods of Sur Baher, Wadi Al-Hummus, and Silwan were demolished by Israeli bulldozers on Wednesday. Human rights advocates asked people to openly condemn the demolitions by tweeting statements on social media.

Since the beginning of this January, occupation forces have razed 30 homes in a number of the historic city’s neighborhoods. Last year, 211 Palestinian homes were demolished in Jerusalem.

Tweeting about the current situation in Kashmir, Ather Zia, a Kashmiri political anthropologist shared a picture of a displaced elderly Palestinian couple as a reference from Palestine and stated that “language of encroachment & demolitions is classic settler colonial logic”.
